The 7^th Project AG Meeting

Project management office, UNDP, UNDESA, Dutch Embassy, MOFTEC, MOF, SETC, and SEPA participated the AG meeting in New Century Hotel, 2003 Feb. 28^th.

William Wallace and Li Shaoyi presented a summary on the project, due to the current status of the project and the achievements, explained the sufficient reasons to extend the project for one year. A two-year work plan was presented on the meeting as well.

The reasons for extension of the project are as follow: The project schedule set up was not feasible for the project; during the implementation, the government reform will affect to the project schedule.

The participants agreed with following points on the meeting:

ü         The Project will be extended for one year, assuming there’s not additional funding required, and affirmed the results that have been achieved.

ü         The future work will be focus on the inter-cooperation among the government agencies and information dissemination, education etc.

ü         Agreed with the plan of focus to financing and commercialization in the project.
