Beijing Shunyi Live stock farm is located in Beijing Shunyi county. It has the production of 60,000pigs per year. This farm has the discharge of 650 tons manure waste. In September 2000, after the survey of UNDP/GEF project management group, the farm started the waste water treatment biogas plant.
The plant was designed to develop a energy resource by treat the discharge. The produced biogas was used to burn boiler generate electricity and cooking in the farm. The entire investment of this project is 6,160,000 RMB, financed by UNDP/GEF project. Hangzhou Environment and Energy research institute is in charge of the design. The plant was installed in May 2001, and performed the running.
